Instructions for Using PASS
Your ID# and PIN are included in the August mailing from the guidance office. |
Parents of middle and high school students are encouraged to explore the new online communications program called PASS (Parental Access Support System). This system allows parents to go to the VCS web site and view their children’s attendance, grades, schedule, etc. It’s simple.
Go to www.villagechristian.org, and click on the PASS link in the left column. This will bring up the PASS page. Enter your child’s ID# and personal PIN number (these are provided at the bottom of the next page), then highlight the bubble for the information you wish to view. |
 |
|
Each student has a different ID# and PIN. Do not share the PIN number with anyone else so that you maintain the privacy of your records. If you prefer not to have any access to this system, you may ask to have your child’s access blocked by sending an e-mail message to vcspass@villagechristian.org. You will receive a confirmation e-mail message when it is blocked. Remember, if you do so, no one, including yourself, will be able to access this information online.
Tip: After you type the ID# and PIN, you must click (highlight) one of the bubbles to display the information.
Note: You do not need to logout in any way. When you finishing viewing information, simply close the Internet browser or navigate to a different web site.
Updates: Since this is a new system, there may be improvements or fixes occasionally. The information on these pages as well as any clarifications or new procedures is available online at www.villagechristian.org.
PASS Page Legend:
Academic Plan – Shows high school Four-Year Plans from Guidance Dept. Contact Guidance Dept. for questions.

Current Marks – Shows current grades for each of the student’s classes. Similar to a report card.
GPA History – Shows GPA’s for current grading period and cumulative transcript. GPA’s shown will vary depending upon the current term.
Mark History – Shows all grades earned in all classes taken in middle and high school. Similar to a transcript.
Schedule/Progress – Shows the student’s current schedule with links to individual class progress reports.
Test History – This feature is not currently being used.
Calendar – Shows all the school days and their colors.
Messages – Shows any current general messages about the PASS system.

Notes: |
-Do not be alarmed if you see D- marks on the Academic Plan view. These merely indicate the lowest acceptable mark for course credit.
-If you encounter "Page Not Found" messages when clicking on one of the bubbles, the most likely reason is that area is not being used. (e.g. Test History - that feature is not being used.) If at Progress Marks, it probably means the teacher has not yet posted the information. |
