Associate Head of School for Spiritual Life
Position Purpose:
To assist the administrative team, faculty and staff in transforming the Mission Statement from paper into real life application. These applications will be manifested in all the areas of our program that are impacted by Biblical principles and truth, i.e., Bible classes, integration of Biblical truth into all subject areas, social activities, athletics and other extra-curricular activities as well as chapels.
Major Duties:
- Use the latest research to develop a comprehensive spiritual life program for the students, Faculty and parents of the school.·
- Serves as the Chairperson of the Secondary (6-12) Bible Department.·
- Works closely with the Principals, Curriculum Director and Bible teachers in the development of Bible Curriculum.
- Works intimately with the Principals and others in setting the spiritual tone for the entire school system (K-12).
- Assists and directs the Bible teachers in the preparation of the annual budget as well as other related areas.
- Provide leadership in recommending appropriate staff development programs and experiences.
- Actively seeks opportunities to assist students grow spiritually through counseling, praying, talking, preaching, teaching and generally expressing genuine interest in the life of each student.
- Works with the Principals and others in leadership positions to help parents understand the Bible curriculum and Spiritual Life program. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying and communicating both student and parent spiritual growth opportunities.
- Coordinates and plans all chapels for the middle and high schools. Personally speaks in chapel as it fits the overall plan. Involves student leadership and chaplains in an effort to develop a student led spiritual emphasis.
- Teaches Bible classes as assigned.
- Directs the K-12 Missions Leadership Team.
- Assists with the Middle School accountability groups, eighth grade Leadership Groups and the High School Leadership class. Plans and implements other such programs.
- Works alongside the Athletic Director as Spiritual Advisor with the goal of every athletic program clearly radiating the essence of the Mission Statement.
- Working with Student Government and Student Chaplains plans and directs all Spiritual Emphasis Weeks.
- Encourage and facilitate student Bible studies and prayer groups.
- Develop and supervise the ministry outreach program.
- Encourage students and their families to be actively involved in local evangelical churches.
- Develop and utilize contacts with local churches to promote the school and to be a resource to churches in the area of spiritual development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- A Seminary Degree is highly desirable but not required.
- Must demonstrate a passion for developing the spiritual lives of young people through the daily application God’s grace.
- Such alternatives to the above as approved by the Head of Schools and the Board of Directors.
Network Administrator
· Full Time 12 month position with benefits
Responsibilities:
- Setup, configuration, and support of networks.
o Includes 9 servers running Windows Server 2000/2003; 2 VMware virtual servers (Linux).
o Cisco Layer 3 switches; VLANs; Cisco Pix and router knowledge.
o Familiarity with Exchange 2000 and knowledge of mail routing.
o Ability to setup, configure, and manage Google Apps Mail with Directory Sync for Active Directory and Postini spam filtering.
o In depth understanding of public and Active Directory integrated DNS.
o Familiarity with IIS 6, MS-SQL 2000/2005, MySQL 5x, etc.
o Knowledge of and ability to use Active Directory and Group Policy.
o Ability to configure wireless LAN.
- Develop and maintain all systems, applications, security, and network
configurations.
o Knowledge of general hardware, including PowerEdge Server hardware, RAID, NAS.
o Knowledge of major current OS and software applications including MS Windows, MS Office Suite, and antivirus solutions.
o Familiarity with Macintosh OS X Snow Leopard and configuration in a lab setting.
o Setup and maintenance of network printers.
- Troubleshoot complex network performance issues and maintain
regularly scheduled backups of data and computer images.
- Ability to use Symantec Ghost Solution Suite for deployment of images
and application packages to computer groups.
- Configure NTFS File/Folder permissions and maintain Roaming Profiles.
- Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users.
- Assist with long term planning and keep up with current and upcoming
IT trends.
- At times may lead and direct the work of others.
- Perform assigned tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT specialty desired.
- Familiar with a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to perform complex tasks.
- Good communication skills including ability to work well with many
people at various skill levels.
- Reports to the Director of Technology.
