How can I get more information about VCS?
Our campus, nestled in a secluded residential area, is so distinct that we strongly advise prospects to call for a campus tour and pick up our information while on site. If that is not possible to arrange, we are delighted to send brochures by mail and we also encourage you to navigate our website to learn more.
When are applications due?
The priority application deadline is on February 1, 2012. We strongly encourage families to apply prior to this point to provide ample time to get the supporting documents, such as transcripts and references, to the school. Applications received after Feb. 1 will be processed in the order received and subject to space availability.
How do I sign up for an assessment date?
We will contact our elementary school applicants for an assessment appointment once we have received a completed application. Middle school and high school applicants are not be required to take a test, but will be contacted to schedule a family interview once the application is complete.
What is the kindergarten application age?
Village Christian recommends students be 5 years by Nov. 1st of the year they wish to enter kindergarten. For students who do not meet the age requirement, we do offer a Junior Kindergarten program. Please contact the admissions department for more information.
How many students attend VCS?
We have 971 students currently enrolled at Village Christian Schools. The break down is as follows: 332 in the elementary school, 228 in middle school and 412 in high school. This number of students allows us to offer a wide array of programs and opportunities for your student, while maintaining a close community with small class sizes and low student- to-teacher ratios.
Who may apply for financial aid?
Students entering K-12 may apply for aid. Financial aid is based solely on demonstrated need. Applying for aid, however, does not guarantee that a grant will be offered.
How and when do I apply for financial aid?
The financial aid deadline is May 1, 2012 for the 2012-13 school year. To apply for financial aid, parents must complete an application on-line through FAST (Financial Aid for School Tuition). Visit the FAST Parent User Guide for more information.
What are the criteria for receiving tuition aid?
All application for financial aid will be considered. However, decisions will be made based on financial need as determined by FAST. If there are special circumstances that are not reflected in the financial report, parents may submit a letter for review explaining the financial need.
