Bible
The Bible verse is Ephesians 4: 32. Students will write the verse and its application on Thursday, Feb. 9th. We will also be reading about Elijah, one of our Biblical heroes.  

Spelling: Our spelling list this week comes from Section U: heir - vegetable. We will review rule 28, syllabication, and jobs of the silent e. 

     Spelling Test: Thursday, Feb. 9th 

English: We will be studying verbs.

Writing: We will be working on our gold rush journals.

Reading:  We will be reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We will also be doing various comprehension activities.

Book Report: Information was sent home in the folders last week. It can also be found on this website. The poster and commercial are due Wednesday, March 7th.  *Students must have a book approved by Wednesday, February 8th.

Reading Requirement Points - 2 points are due by March 7th.  All other points must be earned by March 28th.
 

Math: We will be studying Chapter 12 on adding and subtracting fractions.

          Ch. 11/12 Test - Wednesday, February 8th   

**Timed tests - Be sure to practice the math facts. Timed tests will be given weekly.  This week I will be testing the division facts by 6-7s. Students will be tested on addition/subtraction facts every other week.

Social Studies: We will continue Ch. 5 on the gold rush.

       Chapter 5 Test - Wednesday, Feb. 15th

Science:  No science this week.
