Vocabulary to Review for Test - memorize 3 per week...then review...NOT AN OPEN BOOK TEST
planet - a large sphere, or ball, that moves around the sun.
solar system - the sun, the planets, and other objects
star - a hot, glowing ball of gases
asteroid - a large piece of rock or metal in space
comet - a chunk of ice mixed with rocks and dust moving through space
meteor - a small piece of ice, rock, or metal that has broken off a comet or asteroid
telescope - a tool to make far away objects appear closer and larger
lens - a piece of clear material that affects the path of light rays
constellation - a group of stars that form a picture
