Bible
The Bible verse is Ephesians 4:32. Students will write this verse and a paragraph of application on Thursday, Feb. 9th. We will also be reading about Elijah, one of our Biblical heroes.
Spelling
Our spelling list this week comes from Section U: heir-vegetable
We will review rule 28, syllabication, and jobs of the silent e.

English
We will be studying verbs.
Writing
We will start writing in our Gold Rush journals.
Reading
We will be doing various comprehension activities. We will also continue reading The Indian in the Cupboard together as a class.
Book Report
Information has been sent home, and can also be found on my website. The poster and commercial are due Wednesday, March 7th **Students must have a book approved by Wednesday, February 8th.
Reading Requirement Points - 2 points are due by March 7th. All other points must be earned by March 28th.
Math
We will complete Ch. 12, studying addition and subtraction of fractions.
**The combined Ch. 11/12 test is this Wedneday, Feb. 8th
Math Fact Quizzes: This week we will be quizzing on division by 6-7 facts. Every other week we will have an addition/subtraction timed quiz. Quizzes are 40 problems in 2 minutes.
Social Studies
We will continue Ch. 5, studying the Gold Rush.
**The Ch. 5 test will be Wednesday, Feb. 15th.
