SUMMER '11 ASSIGNMENTS: Reading is, per se, a true teacher, since in it we find many details of orthography and grammar. It is also very necessary to amplify the vocabulary. For that reason, the summer assignment consists of much reading and a written essay about what was read. The following is a list of requirements of the A.P. Spanish class. All materials are available from the High School Office; make sure you pick these up as soon as you can. Everything is due and should be postmarked by Fri. August 19th, 2011. With the exception of the translation material, all work must be done in Spanish. You may use a dictionary, but no full computer translation of documents or “cut & paste”.
- Recordings: Obtain a tape player for series of oral assignments **
- Writing, Informal, Sections 1 – 4 and the items below.
- Periodical: Choose any documentary on drug or alcohol abuse from any Spanish periodical, write an English translation synopsis and write a 100 word essay/synopsis in Spanish, handwritten.
