Biology Activities and Assignments (Semester 2)

The syllabus available below is essentially a modified version of my lesson plans. 

The first column shows the cycle number, period, and color of each class meeting.  Since all classes meet on Red day and since Red day is the first day of each cycle, I colored those cells red and included the date as a reference point.  The actual date or day of the week (like Wed., Sept. 19) for all of the other rows varies depending on the class section (A,B,C,E, or G); for instance, periods ending in -2 (like 1-2 or 2-2) fall on Orange days for some students, Yellow days for others, and Green days for B class.  The first column shows those colors, also.

The "Notes/Activity" column gives some idea of what we are doing in class.  The sequence of activities will not always match your schedule; that is because I usually move labs such that they occur during a double period and different sections have double periods at different times in the cycle.  However, I will try to show those variations on the schedule.

The "Homework" column lists homework and laboratory assignments given after the particular activity shown in the "Notes/Activity" column and the date the assignment is due.  If the due date is given as a number, then it refers to the cycle and period that the assignment is due.  If the due date is given as "next day," it means the next day your section meets.  If homework is given the first period of a double period, then the homework is due the next day the class meets, not the second period of the double.
