Video Production
I am very excited for our video production classes. It is a blessing to have so many students interested in my class. My hope is that this year's students will be able to enjoy making their films even more than last year's crew.
This class is designed to be extremely hands on. In this class you will learn how to take an idea and make into a visual reality. My hope is that no matter what level of experience you have entering this class, that you will leave with a greater love and enjoyment for the art of film and video production.
Roles for each Crew:
Writer/Director/Editor - This student is in charge of seeing the film from it's very beginning to the very end. The director is responsible for writing the script, drawing the storyboards, the overall direction of the film, and editing the footage together.
Director of Photography/Cameraperson - This student is in charge of everything that has to do with the camera. Their main focus is to capture on camera everything that the director has in their head. The DP is in charge of the composition of each shot, lighting each shot, and keeping an accurate shot log for the editor to reference.
Producer - This student makes sure that the entire production runs as smooth as possible. They are responsible for finding locations on campus, actors for the film, and props and costumes.
