Video Production - Class G
I am very excited for our video production classes. This class is designed to be extremely hands on. In this class you will learn how to take an idea and turn it into a visual reality. My hope is that no matter what level of experience you have entering this class, that you will leave with a greater love and enjoyment for the art of film and video production.
Projects:
In Camera Editing - 1 to 2 minute project retelling an old fable or proverb in your own fashion. Each crew member must take turns working the camera and directing the scenes.
Editing - Each student will be given footage from a short film made by elementary students. Each student will create their own scene with the footage provided. This project is to get the students familiar with Adobe Premiere and the process of editing.
Chase Sequence - Each student will write their own story which involves a chase sequence and utilizes the filming and editing techniques discussed in class. Each student will be allowed 5 minutes of footage to create a 3 minute film.
Lighting Project - Each student will be writing, directing, and editing their own story for this project. In this film they will utilize lighting techniques to help emphasize certain aspects of their story. Each student will be allowed 5 minutes of footage to create a 3 minute film.
