Volleyball  Unit

Dates for this unit: Sept 3 - Oct 3 .

 This will be the first unit for the year. My desire  for this unit is for the girls to have fun playing volleyball while practicing their skills.

Class meeting: Each class meeting the studetns will practice a vareity of  skills, pass, set and serve. The second half of class the students will practice these skills while playing volleyball games. The students also will be given a handout with the rules and terms of volleyball. They will need to study this for the games and for the test at the end of the unit.

Homework: Bring PE uniform and athletic shoes, PE folder, paper and pen and pencil to class each day.

Make up work: If a student is unable to participate due to an excused absence or parent or doctor's note they can make up this work with a written assignment. The student must get the assignment from the teacher the day she returns back to school. The make up work must be turned in before next class meeting. 

Grading

• 1/3 of grade: Participation and prepared: includes being able to physically participate and trying your best, wearing PE uniform and athletic shoes,  and having material for class.
• 1/3 of grade: Test on rules and terms of activity
• 1/3 of grade: Skills test of activity
