Class Calendar - September

Week #1 Sept.3rd-7th

    Monday - Labor Day  (Enjoy the last day of summer!)

    Tuesday - We will be having a "Class Introduction."

                      You will receive information about how things go in 8th grade Bible...

                      We will be working on a class introduction wordsearch and will be receiving the memory verse list for the 1st Quarter.

     Wednesday - We will be completing a personal reference card.

     Thursday - We will having a Bible drill...  (Bring your Bible!!!)

     Friday - We will be taking the Week #1 Memory Verse quiz.

Week # 2  Sept. 10th-14th

     Monday - We are learning the "LIfe of Christ from A to Z"

     Tuesday - We are reviewing the 26 key words and hand motions that go with the "Life of Christ from A to Z"

     Wednesday - We are working on a map titled, "The Land of Christ and the Life of Christ"        We will also be getting our 2nd devotion paper.   

     Thursday - We are going to take a quick overview of Matthew and Mark  (This got postponed until Monday)

      Friday - We will be taking the Week #2 memory verse quiz....

  (KNOW the 26 key words and the handmotions...)

 Week #3 Sept. 17th-21st

     Monday - We are going to take an overview of Matthew and Mark

     Tuesday - We will be taking an overview of Luke and John    

                   At this point, you should have 11 notebook  papers completed and in your class notebook as well as 2 devotion papers completed.   (Be ready for a NOTEBOOK CHECK!!!) 

     Wednesday - We will be reading "It's the Gospel Truth"   We will also be completing a crossword puzzle over the reading material.

    Thursday - QUIZ You will need to write down from memory and spell correctly the 26 words in the Life of Christ from A to Z.        

       We will be filling out a chart over the 4 gospels.

    Thursday evening - Parents:If possible, please join us for "Back to School Night"

    Friday - Week #3 memory verse quiz.

        Intorduction to "A for Angel"      (Video and Video quiz)    

Week # 4  September 24th-28th

     Monday

Correct video quiz , complete next devotion (1 Corinthians 10:13) , introduce new memory verse quiz...

    Go over creative assignment. "The Promises of God"  using the hand-out provided, create a Poem/Song/ or Rap that focuses on the promises of God....(due Friday, must be typed!!!)

    Tuesday 

Complete next devotion, (Proverbs 3:5,6)

Go over the complete story of "A for Angel"

Review the Life of Christ from A to Z.

Review for tomorrows "A for Angel" quiz

     Wednesday

Complete next devotion,(Psalm 103:12)

Take the "A for Angel" quiz 

Review for the Life of Christ A to Z TEST....  (over Notebook # 106, not the locations, but everything else.)

     Thursday

Take the Life of Christ A to Z test...

New devotions...Fill out top section, define key words...  Do first devotion

     Friday

Week #4 Memory Verse quiz

Present and turn-in "Promises of God" poem,song, or rap...
