Sewing is a practical arts course that allows students to learn then practice the skill of sewing.  This includes hand and machine sewing, fabric information, reading and understanding a pattern, cutting our a pattern and ultimately the construcxtion of a project.  The first project is a gym/tote bag, the second is a garment the student can pick with the teachers approval.

Mon. Sept. 1--Labor Day Holiday

Tues. Sept. 2--New students only

Wed. Sept. 3--Rules, regulations and expectations.  A letter will come home today with an explanation of the class and equipement needed.  Equipment and supplies will be demonstrated/explained today.  Letter to parents will come home today to be signed and turned in Friday or before for a one weight 100.

Thurs. Sept. 4--Safety rules---test to be taken next Monday. 

Fri. Sept. 5--Fabrics samples examined, learn about woven, knitted, and nonwoven fabrics. Signed parent letter turned in today.
