Christian School Guidance Counselors Idea Exchange (CSGCIE)

General Letter of Introduction

Dear Christian Educators,

For several years it has bothered me that those of us who share common callings and responsibilities have not had a quick and easy way to share information and grow from the experiences God has provided each of us. Every time I get a letter asking for a group to come together for the purpose of exchanging ideas I look at the cost in time and travel and say there has to be a better way to accomplish this very needed intellectual, spiritual, and often personal exchange of ideas, dreams, questions, and experiences.

I believe we have put together a way that will allow each of us to gain from the gifts and experiences of us all. There is no cost to you or your school. Village Christian Schools has funded the setup and will provide the ongoing maintenance necessary to operate this program. This program will be strictly for ACSI Christian School guidance counselors.

We encourage you to join us in a new listserv called Christian Schools Guidance Counselors Idea Exchange (CSGCIE). It has been established to provide you with a valuable communications tool for sharing ideas and questions, growing professionally, and learning from others who face similar circumstances day by day.

To subscribe, simply follow this link: http://lists.villagechristian.net/listinfo.cgi/csgcie-villagechristian.net. You will soon receive a confirmation message and then a welcome message. Reply to the activation message as directed and you will be on your way to connecting with ACSI Christian School counselors across the country.

Remember that the value of CSGCIE comes from our using it to ask questions about what others are doing, by finding out the experience someone has had with a particular guidance department or technology issue, or sharing great ideas, etc. When you subscribe, be patient as it will take time for all of us to begin to use this new information exchange vehicle. I would also encourage you to let other counselors on your staff know about the listserv so they also can participate.

I believe this listserve will provide a quantum leap forward in our ability meet the demands of our responsibilities and further the Kingdom as we improve already excellent schools.
