PASS Information

Instructions for Using PASS

Student ID and PIN are included in the August mailing from the guidance office.
Parents of middle and high school students are encouraged to use our online communications program called PASS (Parental Access Support System). This system allows you to go to the VCS website and view your child's attendance, grades, schedule, etc. It’s simple.

Go to www.villagechristian.org, and click on the PASS link in the left column. This will bring up the PASS page. Enter your child’s ID# and PIN number, then click on the "View" for the information you wish to see.
PASS Sample

Each student has a different ID# and PIN. Do not share the PIN number with anyone else so that you maintain the privacy of your records. If you prefer not to have any access to this system, you may ask to have your child’s access blocked by sending an e-mail message to vcs@villagechristian.org. You will receive a confirmation e-mail message when it is blocked. Take note, if you do so, no one, including yourself, will be able to access this information online.

Remember: After you type the ID# and PIN, you must click one of the "Views" to display the information.

Note: You do not need to logout in any way. When you finishing viewing information, simply close the Internet browser or navigate to a different web site.

PASS Page Legend:

Academic Plan – Shows high school Four-Year Plans from Guidance Dept. Contact Guidance Dept. for questions.

Attendance – Shows dates and periods when student was absent or tardy. High school students will need to compare this to their weekly schedules to see which classes were missed.

Current Marks – Shows current grades for each of the student’s classes. Similar to a report card.

GPA History – Shows GPA’s for current grading period and cumulative transcript. GPA’s shown will vary depending upon the current term.

Mark History – Shows all grades earned in all classes taken in middle and high school. Similar to a transcript.

Schedule/Progress – Shows the student’s current schedule with links to individual class progress reports.

Test History – This feature is not currently being used.

Calendar – Shows all the school days and their colors.

Messages – Shows any current general messages about the PASS system.

Notes:
-Do not be alarmed if you see D- marks on the Academic Plan view. These merely indicate the lowest acceptable mark for course credit.

-If you encounter "Page Not Found" messages when clicking on one of the bubbles, the most likely reason is that area is not being used. (e.g. Test History - that feature is not being used.) If at Progress Marks, it probably means the teacher has not yet posted the information.
