Welcome from Spiritual Life Office
Central to the mission of Village Christian Schools is our invitation to the entire student and adult population to consider, respond to, and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Thus we seek to provide a distinctly Christian Education. While spiritual life at Village shows up in classes, programs, retreats, and opportunities for service and mission, spiritual vitality permeates everything we do. We don’t believe that life with God can be compartmentalized into a Sunday worship experience, a third- period Bible class, or even a mission project in Mexicali. We desire to be a school that leads students and their families to love God and people all the time. All of our gifted and loving teachers, each administrator, and every employee at Village Christian Schools shares a passion for Christ and seeks to model spiritual life to our students.
As we lead students into a life of authentic discipleship we keep their key questions in mind:
Students are asking:
“Who am I?”
In response, we help them discover their identity rooted in their calling as God’s beloved.
“Where do I belong?”
In response, we help them learn to love by finding their home in God’s family, the church.
“Do I and my choices matter?”
In response, we help them serve as they experience their lives in alignment with God’s kingdom purpose in the world.
I am thrilled to have been given this amazing privilege and giant responsibility to serve as Associate Head of Schools for Spiritual Life and commit to provide pastoral leadership and love to each member of the Village Christian School family. I love leading, but even more, listening to students talk about real life. I am open to meeting with parents, students, and faculty, and exploring together this wonderful gift of life in Jesus.
