Food Service at Village

The Food Service program of VCS is available for the purchase of meals and snacks on all school days (including Summer School).  Parents are always welcome to have meals on campus with their children.  Students may also bring a lunch from home, if preferred.

Grades JK -  5

Our JK -  5 program offers breakfast, lunch, daily juice (delivered to the student's classroom by 9:45 a.m.), and after school snacks.

Breakfast is served from 7.30a.m. until the beginning of school at the Crusader Café, with the option of a hot or cold breakfast.

Lunch is provided from the serving window in the auditorium as a hot plate meal (the lunch menu is on the reverse side of this document).  Lunches must be ordered daily in the classroom.  Each morning your child's teacher will make a list of those ordering a lunch for that day.  The student will pay their teacher in the morning for that day's lunch ($4.90).  If preferred, you may pay for that day's lunch before school in the Crusader Café, but the student must still inform the teacher that they are ordering a lunch.  A more convenient way of paying for lunches is to purchase 20 meals at a time from the Crusader Café.  The price is $91.00, which provides a savings to you on a per meal basis.  Using this method, the student may pick and choose which days to use the pre-paid meals by ordering them daily with the teacher.  Your account will be deducted for each meal.

There will be no refunds if a child orders a lunch and does not come to eat it.

If you forget to send money with your child or they have no pre-paid lunches available, we will stamp your child's hand and send a reminder that money is owed. If you are unable to bring the money before lunch, we will provide a full lunch for your child.  The payment must be made the next morning in the Crusader Café.  If payment is not received we will contact you by phone.

You can sign up for the Juice Program in the Crusader Café.  The cost is $59.00 per year payable when sign up. The program starts serving September 21st.

Middle and High Schools

MS and HS students may purchase breakfast, lunch, and snacks for a mid-morning nutrition break as well as after school.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. until the beginning of school at the Crusader Café, with the option of a hot or cold breakfast.

For lunch, students may use either the Crusader Café, both serving hot and cold items,or  they also have the option of purchasing a hot plate lunch from the Crusader Café (menu on opposite side).  The 20 meal option is also available.

MS and HS students pay for their meals and snacks at the meal time based on what they have selected.
