UPCOMING EVENTS
The Counseling Department is excited about our upcoming events to assist our families and students in their college application process. This year we have events planned to give students access and exposure to several colleges and universities and their representatives, as well as college tours to give students a hands-on college experience.
COLLEGE ESSAY AND APPLICATION WORKSHOP
Currently the college essay and application workshop is full. If you'd like to be placed on a wait list if spaces open up, please email Lisa Perry at lisap@villagechristian.org. Thank you!
Hey, Class of 2023! Picture it: you complete 75% of your college applications in just five days. Does this sound too good to be true? Keep reading!
This intensive workshop is for rising seniors who are planning to apply to schools who use the Common Application this fall. Access this link to browse all Common App schools. Personal Insight Questions (PIQs) for the UC application will also be covered. Over the course of the week you will work to craft a powerful personal statement for college admissions. Participants will also work directly with counselors and teachers and hear valuable application tips straight from admissions representatives from both Common Application and UC schools.
A good fit for this workshop is a 4-year college bound student who plans to apply to at least one Common App school and one UC school. We will be using resources provided by Ethan Sawyer, College Essay Guy, among others. Click here to learn more about Ethan Sawyer's programs. You will leave the workshop with a working draft of your college personal statement and 75% of the remaining part of your application complete.* SEATS ARE LIMITED!
*Due to the limited time of the workshop, extended time accommodations will not be available.
