High School

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Village Christian High School, where our mission is to provide a CAREing, Christ-centered education producing students who thrive. Our signature academic program, Concentrations®, is based on the Harvard College model and allows high school students to focus on an academic area of potential career interest. In their Concentration, a student will not only gain valuable knowledge and experience, but will also have opportunities to find his or her spark in a 21st century learning environment.

In addition to our academic focus, we offer athletics, visual and performing arts, clubs and activities. Our students participate in multi-day and overnight retreats and have the opportunity to serve others in a variety of ways. These opportunities are all designed to enhance each student’s social, physical, and emotional growth. Our students are prepared for and attend the finest colleges and universities across the country.

At the center of all we do is our complete commitment to our students’ spiritual development through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In our Bible courses, we provide foundational instruction to develop their faith and ask students to reflect and ask themselves challenging questions regarding their personal relationship with Jesus and what their faith means.

At Village, you will find an incredible group of dedicated, qualified, caring professionals who will appreciate your student and will partner with you to achieve success for your child. The Village community is a safe environment that promotes Christ-centered values you can trust. I encourage you to experience this unique place, where your student will be nurtured, challenged, and prepared for a life of meaning and purpose.

Expected School-Wide Learning Results

ESLRs stand for “Expected School-Wide Learning Results.” Our ESLRs are in the form of essential questions. We expect all Village Christian School students to have carefully thought through these questions and be able to answer them based on their experiences in academic courses, Bible class and chapel, elective courses, and extracurricular activities. These questions are:

  • Who is God?
  • What is Truth?
  • What is my purpose?
  • How can I access, process, and share information?
  • How can I develop, express, and use my creativity?
  • How can I make wise choices?
  • How can I develop healthy relationships?

A student who has effectively answered these questions is well prepared for not only college academic study, but for being a leader in their professions, families, communities, and churches.

You can learn more about our elementary, middle school, and high school academic programs on our website.
