WELCOME TO MINISTRY & SOCIAL JUSTICE
In response to God’s call for justice and human dignity, the Ministry & Social Justice concentration strives to build capacity and compassion in students to serve the world in ways that provide measurable and sustainable difference locally, nationally and internationally in the areas of human rights and equality for all people. Students selecting this concentration will focus on ministry, education, social work, legal and relief and development. Careers include lawyer, educator, criminologist, and politician, counselors in various specialties, social worker, law enforcement, pastor and international aid worker.
MEET THE DEAN
SHELLY RAUB
Shelly Raub graduated from Grand Canyon University with a MA in education administration and from Westmont College with a BA in political science. During her undergraduate years, she spent time working for Harvard University in Washington, D.C. as a researcher and lobbyist to fight human trafficking. As part of her career at Village Christian, she has taught AP US government, 10th grade English, 11th grade US history, and 12th grade government. Currently, Mrs. Raub serves as the curriculum coordinator in the office of academic life. During the year, she collaborates with Mr. Endacott on projects including WASC accreditation, textbook adoptions, staff development, and student testing. Mrs. Raub also oversees the Senior Project.
