Curriculum
In middle school, students transition from the mostly single classroom environment of elementary to the secondary school world of multiple classrooms. Middle school is also a time of intellectual, spiritual, and social transitions.
The middle school academic program provides the bridge between the strong academic foundations of the elementary school and the college preparatory focus on critical thinking and application of learning in the high school.
Each year, the core subjects of English, math, science, and history prepare students for advanced study through practical applications and hands on experiences. Bible classes and chapels help students understand and own their faith. Students begin to explore their unique gifts and develop their talents through electives in performing and visual arts, practical arts, and world languages (Spanish and Chinese). Physical education completes the focus on developing the whole person.
