Visual and Performing Arts
Middle school is a crucial time for students to explore who they are and what they can accomplish, and our visual and performing arts programs are designed especially for this important developmental stage. As they enter sixth-grade, students are given the option of joining the middle school choir, band, strings, or drumline programs, or they can sample various options on the “Wheel,” which offers a quarter of Spanish, computers, art, and foods.
In seventh-grade, their options expand to ceramics and drama. Our visual arts programs teach the students creative forms of self-expression and give them venues to display their work. Our performing arts programs allow the students to gain confidence in front of an audience, teaches them how to work together in a group environment, and provides them with opportunities to travel to various shows and festivals.
