Girls Lacrosse

2020 Season Recap

In the teams inaugural season, the VCS girls lacrosse team exceeded all expectations and went undefeated before the COVID-19 shutdown. Their six wins included three wins over opponents ranked in their division. Not only that, but two seniors, who had never played high school lacrosse before this season signed to play at the collegiate level. The Crusaders girls lacrosse team was lead by a strong group of freshmen, who should have the team hitting on all cylinders for years to come.

About the Coach

Coach Tom Konjoyan is Village Christian's head of schools, and an avid lacrosse enthusiast. The girls on his team have nothing but positive remarks about his coaching style. Although the great majority of his girls had never even held a lacrosse stick before this season, he had them all working very efficiently by the first game. Under his leadership, Village Christian has provided the opportunity for a number of girls who were interested in lacrosse, but never had the opportunity to play on a club team, to thrive.

Tom is married with three children, one of whom was a freshman on the 2020 girls lacrosse team. His oldest son graduated from Village Christian in 2019, and currently plays lacrosse at the University of California, Berkley.
