Wireless Connection Instructions

This applies to faculty/staff only.

FIRST! Make sure the name of your device includes your VCS network username.*

iPhone examples – JohnD iPhone, JohnD, JohnD Phone, etc.
iPad examples – JohnD iPad, JohnD, JohnD iPad, etc.
Laptop examples (personal, not school purchased) – JohnD MacBook, JohnD Latitude, JohnD-Laptop, etc.

Select VCS Staff from the list of available WiFi names.

Contact IT Dept if you don't remember the password.

Since we are sharing a common password, our only way of knowing whether devices on the network are legitimate is to identify them from the user name. Any devices not easily identifiable will be disconnected.

You may be interested to know – we will be using the same process for students to connect to WiFi. They have a different password. Don’t share the staff password with students.
