BALLET
New Student Assessment: If you have not taken ballet through the Fine Arts Academy before or you are unsure of what level your student should be in, please email us at fineartsacademy@villagechristian.org.
Primary-Level 1 Ballet:
This class is for new students or any students who took Primary last year! (Pre-K -2nd grade recommended) Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet, focusing on body movement and coordination. Each student has the opportunity to take one 30 minute private lesson with Miss Nicolette on either Saturday, November 5 or Saturday, November 12 (time slot TBD).
9 classes: Beginning the week of September 5 and ending the week of November 14.
Class will not meet the week of September 26 and October 17.
Parent Observations the week of November 14 during regular class time.
Thursdays: 3:15 - 4:15 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $180
Instructor: Nicolette Sikelianos
Attire: Pink leotard (skirt is optional), pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Hair should be pulled up into a tight bun.
LEVEL 2-3 Ballet:
This class is for students who have already taken Primary Ballet and Level 1 and have met the requirements to move to the next level. Each student has the opportunity to take one 30 minute private lesson with Miss Nicolette on either Saturday, November 5 or Saturday, November 12 (time slot TBD).
9 classes: Beginning the week of September 5 and ending the week of November 14.
Class will not meet the week of September 26 and October 17.

Beginning Dance (3rd-5th grade):
This class is for students who want to explore dance in multiple styles and begin to prepare for our MS Dance Company. Students will learn basics in ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre.
9 classes: Beginning the week of September 5 and ending the week of November 14.
Class will not meet the week of September 26 and October 17.
Parent Observations the week of November 14 during regular class time.
Tuesdays: 3:15 - 4:30 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $180
Instructor: Nicolette Sikelianos
Attire: Any color leotard with pink tights and a skirt, ballet shoes, jazz shoes and tap shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from the face.
HS Singin’ In The Rain Dance Class:
Our spring musical for HS is "Singin’ in the Rain" This weekly class will help prepare students for the choreography in this musical. This class will build your technique and skills in tap, partner dancing and musical theatre jazz. We recommend ALL high school students who want to audition, to take this class!
5 classes: Beginning the week of August 22 and ending the week of October 3.
Class will not meet on September 15 or September 29

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class. If you have not registered for a package, you will be billed per class attended.
