BALLET
New Student Assessment: If you have not taken ballet through the Fine Arts Academy before or you are unsure of what level your student should be in, please email us at fineartsacademy@villagechristian.org.
Primary -Level 1 Ballet/Tap Combo:
This class is for new students or any students who took Primary last year! (Pre-K -2nd grade recommended) Students will learn the fundamentals of ballet and tap, focusing on body movement and coordination. Class will culminate in a final Recital on May 20.
9 classes: Beginning the week of March 13 and ending the week of May 15. No classes the week of April 10.
Spring Recital is on May 20
Thursdays: 3:15 - 4:15 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $220 (Recital fee included in cost- Each student will receive a costume, digital copy of recital performance, digital recital portrait and photo of the class)
Instructor: Nicolette Sikelianos
Attire: Pink leotard (skirt is optional), pink tights, ballet shoes and tap shoes. Hair should be pulled up into a tight bun.
LEVEL 1-2 Ballet/Tap Combo:
This class is for students who have already taken Primary Ballet and/or Level 1 Ballet and have met the requirements to move to the next level. Students will continue learning the skills and technique for Ballet and Tap culminating in a final Recital on May 20.
9 classes: Beginning the week of March 13 and ending the week of May 15. No classes the week of April 10.

Attire: Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled up into a tight bun.
Beginning Dance (3rd-5th grade):
This class is for students who want to explore dance in multiple styles and begin to prepare for our MS Dance Company. Students will learn basics in ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre.
9 classes: Beginning the week of March 13 and ending the week of May 15. No classes the week of April 10.

Tuesdays: 3:15 - 4:30 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $220 (Recital fee included in cost- Each student will receive a costume, digital copy of recital performance, digital recital portrait and photo of the class)
Instructor: Nicolette Sikelianos
Attire: Any color leotard with pink tights and a skirt, ballet shoes, jazz shoes and tap shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from the face.
HIP HOP:
This class is a fun and engaging way to keep your student active in dance. They learn a variety of warm-ups, dance games, and choreography.
5 classes beginning the week of April 17 and ending the week of May 15. No classes the week of April 10.
Recital is on May 20
Grades K-2
Wednesdays: 3:15 – 4:15 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $150 (Recital fee included in cost- Each student will receive a costume, digital copy of recital performance, recital portrait and photo of the class)

Grades: 3-5
Wednesday: 4:20 – 5:20 PM
Location: Performing Arts Room (PAR) formally known as the Band Room
Cost: $150 (Recital fee included in cost- Each student will receive a costume, digital copy of recital performance, recital portrait and photo of the class)

Attire: Comfortable street clothes that your student can move easily in and tennis shoes with socks. Hair pulled back away from the face.
