Vocal Arts

The Middle/High School Vocal Arts department at Village Christian School builds upon decades of the choral tradition and extends the student experience into new and modern directions, including incorporating technology, apps, recording sessions, and creative exercises including songwriting, song arranging, virtual ensembles, and more. Students are given a thorough foundation in vocal technique, sight-reading, and ensemble harmonizing while developing their musical imaginations and personalities through the exploration of music creation and through collaborative projects.

Village also offers extracurricular a cappella performance groups which are open by audition to high school students. VCappella and CruCappella meet outside the school day and rehearse and perform as a pop group.
