vocal arts
The Middle/High School Vocal Arts department at Village Christian School builds upon decades of the choral tradition and extends the student experience into new and modern directions, including incorporating technology, apps, recording sessions, and creative exercises including songwriting, song arranging, virtual ensembles, and more. Students are given a thorough foundation in vocal technique, sight-reading, and ensemble harmonizing while developing their musical imaginations and personalities through the exploration of music creation and through collaborative projects.
Village also offers an extracurricular a cappella performance group, V-Cappella, which is open by audition to 8th to 12th graders. V-Cappella meets outside the school day and rehearses and performs as a pop group.
