VCS Holds Inaugural Spark Symposium
Last week at our inaugural Spark Symposium, we reveled in the blessing God has poured out on the original idea. Students throughout campus were engaged in practical, innovative, hands-on expressions of their Concentration. Under the skillful guidance of our Concentration Deans and seminar teachers, students were performing their art, displaying their art, demonstrating emergency response skills, getting us to empathize with the plight of refugees, pitching start-up businesses, signing their literary prices, and showcasing their skill in coding and engineering for the more than 200 attendees.

Parents and other adults were blown away by the breadth and depth of their mastery at such young ages. I personally was walking on cloud nine as I saw the unfolding of this innovative, future-oriented, student-centered, teacher-inspired, value-adding educational experience. I am so proud of Concentrations Provost Ray Endacott, the Deans (Natalie Taylor, Tim Ellis, John Khouri, Mark Bates, Lauren Ring, and Shelly Raub), and the seminar teachers who made this experience so profound.
We have a very, very cool school! To God be the glory.
