Middle School Teachers Lounge Gets Remodel From South Hills Church Burbank
“It’s like something out of a television show,” one onlooker said.
During the week of September 14, South Hills Church in Burbank blessed Village Christian teachers with a jaw-dropping renovation of the Middle School Teachers Lounge.
The reveal of the newly updated facility on September 18 was astounding.
“There are no words that fully capture our thanks,” said VCS Middle School Principal Dana Mikels. “The teachers were thrilled beyond belief and were so appreciative of the work and care [the South Hills] team put into the project. Over and over, I see them smiling and enjoying the space. The team has created a much-needed place for them in the midst of this school year.”
South Hills Church initially reached out to the school about the project over the summer.
“The Love the 818 team from South Hills Church in Burbank brought some love to the Middle School staff lounge last week,” said South Hills Community Director and Village parent Karrie Stewart. “The walls, cabinets and doors were given a fresh coat of paint, and on Friday, volunteers came in and completely remodeled the room. South Hills loves to bless the community and enjoys doing projects for schools, non-profits, and organizations.”
The transformation included new furniture throughout the room with spectacular attention to detail that included decorations, centerpieces, and a caring restock of refreshments in the refrigerator.
From everyone here at Village Christian, we extend our heartfelt thanks to South Hills Church and everyone who made this project possible.
