College Acceptances Rolling in for Class of 2021
As we begin the new year, we want to congratulate the Class of 2021 on an amazing start to the school year.
VCS students have overcome unprecedented obstacles and are working incredibly hard to thrive athletically, artistically, and academically – as evidenced by the college acceptances that have begun to roll in for our seniors.
Said Director of Counseling Lisa Perry, “It's been an unusual college application season, to say the least! We are all so proud of the Class of 2021, which has gone through the typically busy and complicated fall application process entirely virtually! They have filled out countless applications and written multiple essays -- all while meeting with their counselors for virtual office hours, interviewing with admissions reps via Zoom and taking virtual campus tours from their bedrooms. They have been resilient, extremely hard-working, and driven. And the results of their hard work are beginning to be recognized.
“We have already seen acceptances to colleges all over the country, including Emory University, University of Pennsylvania, NYU, Southern Methodist University, APU, Fordham University, DePaul University, and Point Loma Nazarene, among many others,” Perry added. “We have an incredible group of seniors, and they should be so proud of all of their accomplishments. Congratulations, seniors!”
In addition to acceptances and athletic commitments, students have also begun receiving a number of scholarships from universities nationwide.
Congratulations to the Class of 2021. We are so proud of you and all that you are accomplishing in these challenging times.
