VCServes 2019 – February 25-27
Jesus called us to "love our neighbor as ourself". In response to this Great Commandment, VCS engages the entire student body in our annual week of service called VCServes. This February, our Elementary School (with the exception of 5th grade serving at Valley Food Bank) will be on-campus making bags for orphans. Our Middle & High School students will travel off-campus into the greater Los Angeles area to serve at homeless shelters, animal shelters, food centers, churches and other community organizations.
In preparation for VCServes, students learn the biblical meaning of compassion and justice through interactive curriculum, guest chapel speakers, and small group interaction. The actual day of service offers students a hands-on, immersive experience as they learn to care for others in a Christ-centered way.
All Elementary, Middle & High School students must fill out his/her grade level permission and medical release forms. Be aware that some VCServes locations require their own Medical Waiver for participation. To find out if your location requires a permission form, in addition to the mandatory VCS parent permission form, and/or to receive a copy of these forms.
Please email Rita Outrim: email@example.com
Forms may be submitted to the Elementary, MS or HS Office. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, February 13.
