Step 2: Student Assessments/Interviews

Elementary Applicants | Grades JK-5
Once the application file is complete, the Admissions office will contact you to set up an assessment. The assessments are done on campus with a VCS teacher and take approximately 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the grade level. If you are applying for multiple students, we will do our best to schedule their assessments at the same time. Assessments are scheduled starting in February.

Middle and High School Applicants | Grades 6-12
Once the application file is complete, the Admissions office will contact you to set up the student interview. Student interviews are done on campus by a member of the Admissions department or a school administrator. Interviews are for the student only and take approximately 30 minutes. In addition to the interview questions, students will be given a writing assignment that they must complete in 10 minutes immediately following the interview.

Step 3: Acceptance and Enrollment

The applicant’s file is reviewed by the Admissions Committee in strict confidence. Students who meet the February 1 Priority Deadline will be notified in early March of the Admission Committee’s decision. Students who apply after this time will be notified within 1-2 weeks of completing their assessment or interview. Admissions Notifications are sent via email.

As a part of the acceptance email, parents will be provided with the instructions to complete the VCS Online Enrollment. A student is considered enrolled once the enrollment packet is completed and the non-refundable enrollment fee of $400 is paid. VCS will also need a complete vaccination record on file prior to the first day of school in order for your student to attend class. This can be submitted within the online enrollment or emailed to the Admissions Department prior to the start of the school year.
